Family hears cries coming from a drain and look down to see stray kitty with "bat ears"

When reddit user thomyo heard the sound, it was coming from a drain. No, it wasn't groaning pipes; it was the strangled cry of a tiny kitten. The minuscule cat was wedged in the drain and couldn't get out. All the time that the family worked at getting her out of the drain, the kitten cried piteously. Finally, she was free.
The funny-looking kitten with the bat-like ears was all skin and bones. How long had she been in there with nothing to eat? Since there was no way to know where she had come from or how she happened to be down the drain, the family decided to just adopt her and get her on the road to recovery.

The scrawny kitten in the tuxedo coat was so glad to see her new family that she followed them around, meowing to beat the band. However, when they took her to the vet, she showed them just how frightened she was by peeing everywhere. Seems she didn't like other cats and dogs so close by.
But back at home again, she felt safe and demonstrated her love and appreciation for her human family by purring and staying right by their side.
That was three years ago, and now the kitten has grown into her ears and fills out her tuxedo nicely. Amazing what some food and attention can do to the body and soul when you know that you're loved!
From a drain to a home with lots of food, a warm bed, and snuggles anytime she wants them. It's a real rags-to-riches story with a fairytale ending!

Don't you think she's a beautiful cat now? However do you suppose she ended up in a drain? Whatever the circumstances that put her there, she's just glad her humans came along when they did! If you think she turned out to be a beautiful cat, share her story. And leave us a comment telling us how you think she got down the drain to start with—I'll bet your ideas are as unique as the lovely cat!
