Adorable kitten was taken in by an unexpected "family" and now thinks she's one of them

In Tokyo, where most pets are prohibited in apartments, ferrets are very popular. In fact, the two most favored pets are hamsters and ferrets. Why? Some think it's because they're quiet. That they are, but they're also hilarious and entertaining animals. But do they get along with other species?
Cats and ferrets often (but not always) do cohabit peacefully. Ferrets can be really tough on kittens, so it's best to supervise their play. But, as they say, it's always the exception that proves the rule. And this family is definitely proving the rule!

A Japanese family discovered a stray kitten on the streets one day and brought her home to live with their tribepla of ferrets. She was starving and scrawny, but most of all she wanted some affection. They named her Komari.
With lots of love and plenty of food, Komari grew up among her ferret brothers and seemed to fit right in. In fact, she soon began to act like a ferret, spending all her time with them.
Even when new ferrets were added to the pack, she just accepted them as readily as the original ferrets accepted her. They were such a cuddle-puddle!
From a ferret's point of view, humans and other animals are playthings. They play hard and can injure smaller animals, like kittens. But Komari never had to worry about that at all. All her "brothers" loved her and enjoyed more than anything snuggling up with her.
At dinner time, they all lined up to eat their meals. Komari was often right in the middle, and together, they savored those tasty moments.
Wherever you would find a ferret asleep, you invariably would find them piled on top of the cat. But she didn't mind at all -- in fact, she craved their camaraderie.
As time went on, Komari adopted more and more ferret-like behavior. They even slept in similar positions.
She cared for the ferrets like they were her kittens, washing them with her rough tongue and lulling them to sleep with her purrs.
The tables had turned. Once, a tiny kitten was taken in to be the baby sister of a fun-loving group of ferrets. Now, Komari is the matriarch of the family. She can't imagine being anywhere else — and she seems to think she's just one of the gang.
